The CV Builder supports creating and managing your CV in multiple languages, based on your single Master CV Data set.

How to Add and Manage Translations for Your CV

This tutorial explains how to add a new language translation to your Master CV Data, review AI-generated translations, and approve them to ensure accuracy.

Prerequisites:

• Your Master CV Data should be complete and accurate in its Primary CV Language.

Steps:

1. Select Primary Language (if not already set): Ensure your Master CV Data has a defined Primary CV Language. This is the foundation for all your translations.
2. Add a New Translation:
   1. In the CV Builder, find the option to manage translations or add a new translation.
   2. Choose the target language for your new translation.
3. AI Translation: The system will automatically translate the content from your Primary CV Language containers (Resume, Experience, etc.) into the selected target language using AI.
4. Review in Split-Screen View:
   1. After the AI translation, the system will present a split-screen view.
   2. One side will show your content in the Primary CV Language.
   3. The other side will show the AI-translated content in the target language.
5. Edit and Approve Translations:
   1. Go through each section (Resume, Experience, Education, etc.).
   2. Review the AI-generated translation.
   3. If a translation is inaccurate or needs refinement, click to edit it and make your changes directly.
   4. Once you are satisfied with the translation for a section or an item, approve it. This marks the translation as manually validated by you.
   5. An indicator (e.g., an "orange dot" or similar visual cue) may show sections where the translation is "out of sync" or has not yet been manually validated/approved by you.
6. Maintain Sync:
   1. If you later edit the content in your Primary CV Language for a section that has an approved translation, the system will detect this change.
   2. The corresponding translation in the target language will be marked as "out of sync."
   3. You will need to revisit the translation, review the impact of the primary language change, update the translation if necessary, and re-approve it. The system will "nudge" you to do this.

   NOTE: The goal is to have your primary language and its translations be equivalent in meaning.

How to Change the Primary Language of Your CV

This tutorial explains how to change the designated Primary CV Language for your Master CV Data.

Prerequisites:

• You have Master CV Data in the system.
• You have a translation available.

Steps:

1. In the CV Builder, locate the setting for your Primary CV Language.
2. Select the new language you want to set as the primary for your profile. For example, changing from English to Danish. You can only change to languages where an already existing translation is available.
3. System Behavior:
   1. This action tells the system that the selected language (e.g., Danish) is now the foundational version of your CV.
   2. If you already had a Danish translation when English was primary, the system will switch to use that existing Danish version as your new primary.
4. Confirm the change.
