Importing Data into Your CV
The CV Builder allows you to quickly populate your Master CV Data by importing from your external sources.
How to Import Data from Your LinkedIn Profile
This tutorial explains how to import your professional information from your LinkedIn profile directly into your Master CV Data.

Steps to import from LinkedIn
Please note: This features I not available on mobile devices.
TIP: Importing from your LinkedIn profile is a fast way to get your initial data into the system.
- In the CV Builder, locate the Import function, found on the right-hand side.
- Select the option to Import from LinkedIn.
- Enter the URL of your LinkedIn profile in the provided field.
- The system will then connect to your LinkedIn profile and index your data. It will extract information like your resume/summary, education, experience, skills, courses, and languages, structuring it according to the system's data model.
- Once the data is fetched, you will now be presented with a split screen view. This allows you easily to transfer data from to your Master CV data.
- For each section (e.g., Resume, Education, Experience), you can then choose to transfer the imported data to your Master CV Data.
- Example: Click to transfer your imported "Resume" from LinkedIn to the "Resume" section of your Master CV Data.
- Example: Select specific "Experience" entries from your imported LinkedIn data to transfer.
- Review the transferred information in your Master CV Data sections. You can edit it further if needed. For example, if your imported resume summary isn't perfect, you can modify it directly in your Master CV Data.
TIP: You can choose to import only specific components from LinkedIn. You are not forced to take everything.
How to Import Data from Your Existing CV Document
This tutorial explains how to import data from your existing CV document (e.g., a Word or PDF file) into your Master CV Data.
Prerequisites:
- You have a copy of your existing CV document.
Steps:
- In the CV Builder, locate the Import function.
- Select the option to import from an "Own CV" or an existing CV document.
- Upload your CV file.
- The system's AI will process the document to extract information like your resume, education, experience, etc., and attempt to fit it into the system's structured data model.
- You can then transfer the desired components (resume, education, experience, etc.) from the extracted data into the corresponding Master CV Data sections.
- Review and edit the transferred information in your Master CV Data as needed.
NOTE: The AI extraction from documents is generally quite accurate but always review thoroughly. It's not always as precise as the structured data from LinkedIn due to variations in CV formats.
